We’ve had a wonderful start to the Summer Term in Reception! It’s been lovely to see the children back and hear all about their exciting adventures—some near, some far! They’ve come back full of stories and enthusiasm.
This week, we’ve been diving into storytelling and one of our favourites has been Jasper’s Beanstalk—a charming tale about a little cat who plants a bean and eagerly waits for it to grow. Jasper does everything right: he waters it, feeds it, and makes sure it has everything it needs. But, like many of us, he gets a little impatient and digs it up too soon! Thankfully, the bean surprises him and starts to grow in its own time.
Inspired by Jasper’s journey, we’ve been on our own adventures around the school grounds, following his trail and planting our very own beans. The children have loved exploring, digging, and caring for their little plants. We can’t wait to see what grows over the coming weeks!
