The children have had an amazing afternoon sailing down the River Welland in their Viking longboats! Fun was had by all as they steered their way down the river in the glorious sunshine. No boats capsized or children fell in – success!
When we reached the end of the voyage, the children were allowed to paddle and splash around in the water to cool off after their adventure! This was a fantastic way to end our Viking topic and I’m sure will be a lovely memory the children will take with them from Year 4!
