Under the Sea Adventures!

This week in Reception, we’ve continued our fantastic travels under the sea! We’ve been diving into the world of fascinating sea creatures and learning all about the wonders of the ocean.

Our creative side has been shining through with some amazing crafts. We’ve made jellyfish and paper plate aquariums, and we even used celery to print with paint to create beautiful, scaly fish! The children have loved getting hands-on with their artwork, and their imaginations have been swimming wild with colour and creativity.

In addition to exploring the creatures of the sea, we’ve been enjoying the classic story of “The Rainbow Fish.” This lovely tale has provided the perfect opportunity to talk about kindness and sharing, and we’ve taken the story to heart. We’ve retold and acted out the story, made colourful character masks, and even rewrote the story through pictures.

One of the highlights this week was designing and making our own Rainbow Fish! The children crafted their fish with shiny, sparkly scales, making each one unique—just like the beautiful fish in the story.

It’s been a week full of fun learning, creativity, and kindness, and we can’t wait for more adventures under the sea! 🌊🐠
