The girls were put in a pool with 5 schools; Brooke, Laxton, Grantham Prep and Witham. With a 15minute one way game the girls had to work hard to cover the pitch. We tried to work on our triangles and spoke about a desire for the ball and taking an early shot. We had two wins, two draws and one loss. This put the girls in 3rd place and moved us into a playoff with the other pool’s third place. We met Oakham and finished in style with a 4-1 win. A yummy sausage and a shiny medal around their necks for participation made the perfect finish to a long afternoon of competitive hockey for the girls.
