Copthill Y5 B team played their first match of the term on Wednesday 11th September at home against Witham Hall.
They played a touch game which was very close throughout. Copthill started brightly and took a lead of 5 – 2 after the first 10 minutes. The next 10 minutes brought the sides closer with Copthill still leading by 8 – 6. Despite the weather absolutely throwing it down, the boys played superbly well coming away winning by 10 – 8.
A great start from the boys and they should all be very proud of their efforts for their first competitive fixture.
