We set about learning all about adding white to lighten a colour to create different tints and then about adding black to a colour to darken the colour to create different shades. We started on the background, moved onto the pyramids and worked hard creating different tints and shades. After that we added a rhino using different geometric shapes all coloured to make an impact. Year 1 then thought carefully about the composition and creating a finished piece of art by adding their different pieces of work together. Well done year 1…the finished work looks great.
