What a week of wonderful String Performances! Thank you to Ms Llewellyn for sharing her talent with you and to all of our string performers across the school you really have spread joy amongst the whole school this week.
Our fabulous beginner string group have been practising each week and learning to play as an ensemble. Their first performance was eagerly anticipated and they didn’t disappoint. Playing to some of their Year 6 friends in the Music Room and then to all of Lower School in assembly they now have some performance experience and the sky is the limit for the super young group of musicians!
Our more experienced string group ‘ The Originals’ who have played together for just a term performed their first piece in assembly this week. Here they are spooking us with ‘Ghost Train’
Our Year 4 String Project has run for the last 10 weeks and culminated in assembly performances in a celebration of their success. We are so impressed with the focus of the groups and the progress made. Here they are playing pizzicato and with bow.
Our budding Year 5 group who have received group lessons for the last 10 weeks following on from their string class immersion sessions last term are now making super progress. Here they are performing as an ensemble.
