We have already started learning about Easter and the Christian traditions and celebrations surrounding it. The children have been thinking about the changing seasons and noticing how new life is appearing all around us. Lambs are being born in the fields, joyfully frolicking, while chicks are hatching, birds are building nests, and trees are beginning to bud. Spring flowers are blooming in abundance, adding beautiful colours to our surroundings.
We have loved reading Brenda’s Boring Egg, a wonderful story about a duckling and the lesson that it is never a good idea to be boastful. Through this story, we learned that everyone is different, special, and unique in their own way.
There is still so much more to explore! We have already enjoyed many Easter crafts and have lots more exciting activities to look forward to.
To finish off an exciting week, we all dressed up in 1980’s style clothing to celebrate Red Nose Day and raise some money for charity!
