Some very royal visitors

Who would have known that King Charles III and King George VI would be gracing us with their presence in Year 2 for a wonderful experience of hot-seating and sharing life stories with us! We loved finding out all about the ‘reluctant’ king and comparing him to his grandson who is the eldest person to succeed the throne at the age of 73. As you can see we enjoyed making crowns and pretending to be each of the kings to be interviewed by the rest of the class to recollect information about their lives ready for our fact files. We used chrome books to find out a little more about each King.

In maths we have been looking at multiplication and arrays. We have made lots of different calculations:

2G made some wonderful bird feeders this week:

Later in the week they checked that they were being enjoyed – it looks like they were!

It looks like the birds have been enjoying them!

We made some wonderful willow mobiles which we thought would brighten up our fire square area in the woods this week – the robin enjoyed the food we left for it!
