It seems crazy to be finishing our cricket season before the sunshine has really joined us, but with a busy final month at Copthill with sports days, house matches and river days, Ratcliffe was the match to conclude a brilliant, if slightly wet season.
The girls played some wonderful cricket and I was so proud of the progress that has been made over the short season. The bowling had come on so much, we now have consistency and marked difference in speed of delivery. They are thinking about a follow through and their bracing arm has started to have purpose.
They relished the battling and enjoyed hitting a few 4s and 6s across both games. We finished off supporting the boys hardball game while we enjoyed a chocolate cookie. A perfect end.
