Reception’s Exciting Trip to Sacrewell Farm ๐Ÿธ๐Ÿšœ๐Ÿฅ•

Our Reception class enjoyed a wonderful day out at Sacrewell Farm, packed with hands-on learning and outdoor adventure.

The children were especially enthusiastic about pond dipping, where they carefully investigated and identified a variety of pond creatures. They showed great curiosity as we explored how these animals are adapted to their watery habitats and discovered more about what they eat and how they survive.

We also learned about food production and how crops such as onions, potatoes, and carrots are grown on a large scale. A visit to the farm’s organic vegetable shop helped bring this learning to life, giving the children a real sense of where our food comes from.

Another highlight of the day was a bumpy and exciting tractor ride through the fields, giving us a closer look at the farm in action. Before heading home, the children had the chance to enjoy some well-deserved playtime in the adventure playground.

It was a day full of exploration, learning, and laughter — a brilliant way to bring our classroom topics to life in the great outdoors!
