The end of our ‘Out and About’ topic was rounded off with a trip to Stamford and finishing at the Adventure play park at Burghley. The children were well behaved throughout the day showing exemplary respect to everyone they met! The staff were exhausted at the end of the trip but the children seemed to have buckets of energy and could have repeated the whole day!
Following on from our trip the children had to map the Stamford landmarks on their own map. There was a lot of discussions but they were able to work together and locate the places they had visited. We see a future in tour-guiding!
Back to good old fashioned playground games! Hopscotch was the flavour of the day and a lot to competitive ‘hopscotchers’ were battling and balancing until the end!
