Our History

Over 50 years ago, Copthill School began around a kitchen table at Copthill farm. Thanks to the educational vision of founder Anne Teesdale, today it’s a thriving, future-facing school for 300 children aged 2-11.

Despite the impressive development of the school over many decades, the ethos of a close-knit family community is a constant, allowing children to develop confidence in a safe and nurturing environment. Anne Teesdale’s insistence on good manners, respect, and caring for others also remains at the heart of the school’s values and culture.
