Lots of great planning for some wonderful stories have been going on in Year 2 this week. Year 2 have shown that two minds make great plans for a great story:
Here we are perfecting our handwriting – some beautiful perfecting of letters and joins:
We have become more familiar with the Royal family tree – a great opportunity to match their faces with their names and where their lineage is within the family.
Look at our wonderful portraits of King Charles – such careful tracing skills and colourful tissue paper back grounds – such a lovely outcome!
You can see here that we are getting even more familiar with our times tables – lots of great matching of the different representations of multiplication calculations!
We also took some multiplication and division problems to solve in the yurt!
After a quick check on the bees, we had a great time den building in the canal area – lots of stick collecting and log dragging. One had a path leading to it, another had a doormat to wipe muddy boots on before entering. The children really took comfort into consideration too! Hot juice and a biscuit was a most welcome reward for all our efforts!
