It’s great to be back this week with the children in their smart summer uniform and the sunshine trying to make an appearance! As you can tell by the title we have been working on descriptive language and improving overused adjectives.

In maths we have been using our addition skills to find patterns in numbers and to find the total of 3 numbers.

We have been focussing on Picasso’s abstract portraits in art this week. We played a great game which led us to decide which feature to add to our portrait to make them look abstract. We enjoyed using paint for the differing parts of the the portrait.

Springwatch occured during our Forest School session this week – we looked out for signs of spring, planted a few everlasting sweet peas, monitored the progress of the vegetables and fruit in our polytunnel and garden and checked in on the lambs, chickens and bees. All looking blooming wonderul out there!
