Netball vs Ratcliffe

The U11B team made a very strong attacking start against Ratcliffe College’s U11B side, winning the first quarter 5-0. In the second quarter we extended our lead to 10-1 thanks to some lovely play across the court and making lots of interceptions. Ratcliffe started to string some nice attacking play together in the final 2 quarters, but couldn’t quite match Copthill’s efforts. Our U11B team finished with a convincing 15-7 victory – great work girls!

Our U11As were dominant from the start, with a little wobble in one quarter where we lost some flow, we came back strong in the final quarter to win 24-7.

We have done a lot of work on reoffering and Tilly and Clemmie both really showed how effective that could be on the court. The longer session on Monday allowed us to revisit backline passes and the link between Emilia and Lily was perfect throughout. Dollie worked tirelessly to stay close to her marker and took a few lovely interceptions. The attacking players looked strong, Zara used her speed to exploit space and Sophia offered so well driving forward in the circle. Libby, Nia and Sophia all shot with deserved confidence.

Sophia was awarded a very well deserved player of the match from Ratcliffe. We are very excited for Friday and seeing if we can qualify for Nationals. Good luck girls!
