As part of their instructions topic as they begin their Year 5 English topics, some of Year 5 have been creating their own ‘magic dust’ recipes, which they then had to follow to create their very own fizzy sherbet. Mrs Hesford was very impressed with the range of imperative verbs, adverbials and ingredient lists, all of which are the features we have been identifying when analysing other instructional texts.
