What a delightful way to spend a lunchtime – a moment of calm in the peace and serenity of Uffington church being entertained by the beautiful sound of children singing and playing. Uffington Primary School and Copthill School brought a group of children together to perform to a lovely local audience. The children from both schools sang ‘Refuge’ together to open the concert. We were then treated to solo performances on brass and woodwind instruments and a jolly group woodwind piece ‘Clockwork Blues’ before the concert ended with the joint choir singing ‘There’s a power in the music’. Well we certainly saw the power of music bringing people together on Tuesday and we look forward to more opportunities to share music together in the future.
We enjoyed a fun and productive breakfast rehearsal on Monday to ensure we were well-prepared!
