The Copthill ISA hockey squad made the short trip to Stamford Junior School who were hosting the East Schools In2Hockey regionals competition.
This included some outstanding hockey schools such as The Perse, Bishop Stortford and Ipswich to name just a few. Copthill were drawn in a tricky group but won their opening match. They then went on to draw a couple more and lose a couple. This meant they finished 4th in their group. They played against Bedford for 7th place playoff and won 1-0.
This has been an outstanding hockey season for Copthill and could have been an even better finish had they performed like they did at ISA. They certainly would have finished in the top 4. All the boys must take great credit for their performances and we of course wish the Y6 boys every success as they move to their secondary schools when they next play hockey.
Well done to you all.
