We had an exciting morning on Thursday when Katie and Debbie our paramedics came to visit us with their ambulance! We talked all about an emergency situation and the number to call. Beth explained the job that they do as paramedics and the equipment that they would use to do thier jobs. She also talked about how we could help the ambulance find their houses at night by having a big number on the front door and the lights on too.
The children then went to see inside the ambulance. They tried on the paramedic’s jackets and hats. Mrs Dimbleby was fortunate enough to have her heart rate monitored and temperature taken. Katie said that Mrs Dimbleby was very healthy. We tried using the stethoscopes which was fun and had a go at pressing the horn and sitting in the front seats. We had such fun. The siren on the ambulance was very loud indeed. Thank you so much Katie and Debbie for showing us around.
