As part of their transition, Pre-School have been spending some time visiting the big playground where the Reception children spend time during play times. The children were very keen to explore the balancing apparatus in the big playground. They also had lots of fun chasing each other around the bushes and through the hedge tunnels, as well as pretending to have a ride in the wooden car. We were very impressed with how well they listened and played together.
We also spent time on the playground carrying out egg and spoon races. This reinforced our phonics for the week as we learned the ‘e’ sound.
