The children loved listening to the story Dear Zoo by Rod Campbell this week. They joined in with the repeated refrains and stretched up tall to be giraffes and made grumpy camel faces. The children roared like fierce lions and pretended to be cheeky monkeys! After listening to the story each child was invited to make their own lift the flap Dear Zoo picture. An adult encouraged the use of a tripod grip and the children created some super animal pictures. There were long snakes, puppy dogs and even a rhinoceros!
