Copthill U 11 ‘A’ v Stamford Junior School ‘A’
This was by far the best game of the season. Copthill stepped up to the mark and addressed the areas of tackling and defensive organisation that we knew we needed to improve. Both teams were very evenly matched with some exceptionally good handling and movement of the ball into space. Copthill’s tackling and turnover of the ball at rucks kept us well in the game. There were tries scored by both sides in every quarter. Both sides were all square at the final whistle and with the level of commitment and game awareness that was on show by the Copthill boys is exactly what was needed as we now look forward to the ISA rugby festival in a couple of weeks.
Copthill ‘B’ v St Hughs ‘A’, Stamford ‘B’ and ‘C’
Huge thanks to Mr Milley for coaching our team and refereeing the games. The attitude of all the ‘B’ team players was excellent and many players showed how their skills have developed over the season. Great effort, tackling and running in some open and exciting games of rugby. Very well done.
