The week began with the children using mirrors to look at their own teeth to identify the different types of teeth and their functions. Following on from this, we explored how teeth can show us whether animals are carnivores, herbivores or omnivores. We are now beginning an investigation into how different liquids have an effect on tooth enamel and the children have made their predictions – watch this space!
Mrs Underwood’s maths class has been embedding their knowledge of multiplying and dividing by 10 and 100 by taking their learning outside and embraced the opportunity to physically move themselves as digits would on a place value chart.
