Once we understood the different classifications, we worked in groups sorting in our teams. This led to some very interesting discussions. We did a great job!

All about the tally charts and surveys in maths! We came up with some super ideas to find out what our friend’s preferences are – on roast dinners, favourite races, gymnastic positions, wild animals and sea creatures. We learnt how to put the data into a table and then set to task analysing it.

We listened to a great story of Where the Wild Things are. From this we made a story map and plotted the events in pictures:

Influenced by the wonderful story of a bog baby we decided to make our own clay bog baby and make a little home for it during our Forest School session this week. We used coloured feathers and resources that we found around the woods to make its features. We are rather partial to them!

And then the wild animals arrived! What an amazing experience we had!

In maths we have been looking at making frequency tables – off we went counting farm animals – an injured ankle didn’t stop us!

The animal presentations have begun and wow wee they are fabulous! Great IT skills and animal knowledge!

A great bit of story mapping of the Where the Wild Things Are – we loved the story!
