The annual end of year cricket match took place on Wednesday 9th July in glorious sunshine! This followed the celebration assembly for our year 6 leavers.
The children went into bat first, culminating a score of 151. There was some super batting going on with plenty of 6’s being hit. The parents bowled well, however, taking 11 wickets – one pair losing a few wickets in succession!
The parents then came into bat and needed a decent run rate to win. This was also hampered by the balls per over being reduced to 4 balls instead of 6 as the time to finish was getting closer…..
The score ended 151 to the children and 137 to the parents.
Well done to all of you who played and good luck to you all at your secondary schools.
Mr Smith
