The children have been very excited to extend their learning around “The Gruffalo,” at Forest School. We looked at the story, the children were able to recall familiar parts of the story and name all the animals between them. We went for a search to find the animal homes around the woods. The children decided to make some little pine cone mice so that we could make their own little houses in the woods. They followed instructions well, and then collected sticks propping them around the base of a tree to create a house.
