Petal Patrol & the Great Fairy Escape 🌼🧚

Pre-School set off on a series of magical flower walks this week—with a sprinkle of fairy hunting, of course!

With magnifying glasses in hand and eyes sharper than a ladybird’s spots, the children explored grassy meadows and shady woodland edges, discovering a colourful mix of flowers including cheerful daisies, calming lavender, golden buttercups, vibrant poppies, and even the sweet scent of blooming roses. Among the greenery, they found wonderfully smelly herbs like sage and fennel, which they gently rubbed to release their delicious aromas.

Soft ferns tickled tiny hands, long grasses brushed against little legs, and all around were signs of busy minibeasts. Ladybirds played hide and seek, bees buzzed from petal to petal, a very spiky caterpillar wriggled along a leaf, and an unusual shiny beetle had everyone leaning in for a closer look.

And of course—no enchanted walk is complete without fairies! We were super quiet… looking high, low, and even upside down… and just maybe, just maybe, someone saw a fairy flutter away in a flash of sparkle before anyone could whisper “pixie dust!”

Along the way, we carefully gathered petals, herbs, and forest treasures to create fabulously fragrant flower perfumes and magical fairy potions—stirred with spells, smiles, and lots of giggles!

Keep your eyes peeled and your noses ready—because with this Petal Patrol on the case, the next magical mystery is just around the corner!
