Pre-School pressed pause on their busy palaeontology work to get their hands dirty planting the VIPs (Very Important Potatoes) in the Quad—because when duty spuds, you dig in! Let’s just say, things got mash-ed up in the best way possible.
Armed with tiny tools and very big enthusiasm, the children dug holes, dropped in seed potatoes, and covered them with soil like little farming pros. There was dirt in socks, worms named Steve, and lots of giggles—gardening has never looked so a-peeling!
We talked about how potatoes grow, guessed how many chips we could make, and made serious scientific discoveries like, “mud is squishy.” Over the next few weeks, the children will water and care for their crop, hoping for a bumper harvest.
Fingers crossed for a tater takeover of the Quad. Watch this space… and maybe bring ketchup!
