The Reception children have travelled out of this world this week—literally! We jet-setted into space in our incredible rockets and explored the wonders of our solar system.
We learnt about the planets and chose which one we’d most like to visit, researching how close they are to the sun and discovering the unique conditions on each. It was fascinating to compare them all!
We also learnt about life in space and followed a day in the life of an astronaut—how they sleep, eat, and even exercise! The spacewalks looked especially exciting, and we loved finding out about the special space suits they wear.
Our creativity really took off as we made our own solar systems from playdough, went on outdoor space adventures searching for aliens, and even designed our own imaginary planets. The moon-surface tuff tray play was a definite highlight—so much fun!
It’s been a stellar week full of imagination, exploration, and discovery!
