Here is a taster of what Year 2 have been up to in the run up to the end of term:
Here is the news programme that we produced ahead of the Easter Fair last Saturday. It was clear that the Year 2 takeover had done its job as the school (and grounds) were brimming with children, parents, grandparents and friends throughout the day!
We had a special maths day where we thoroughly enjoyed some challenging dice games using varying operations. We also completed a times tables challenge in 2 minutes!

We have been on a QR coded Easter egg hunt – of course there was a chocolate egg at the end of the trail, but only once the calculations were completed! There were some interesting transition moves along the way!

We went on a Spring walk during our forest school sessions this week in search of signs of Spring! We also thought about the names of animals’ offspring that would be born during the months in Spring. We also planted up our beans. We cannot wait to see them grow on our classroom windowsill!

Look at our bookmarks which we designed using petals for our mummies! We also made some colourful Easter pictures and started on the scarecrow entry for this year’s Uffington Scarecrow Festival:

We hope you all have a wonderful Easter holiday.
