“The more that you read…”

“…the more things you will know! The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”- Dr. Seuss

Happy World Book Day One and All!

Pre-School came to school dressed in their most comfy and bedazzling pyjamas today to celebrate the world of books and our love of storytime! Our room was abuzz with the most glorious display of pyjamas! There were hearts, unicorns, tractors, ballerinas, Spidermen, dinosaurs and glow-in-the-dark Space pyjamas, to name but a few! What an eclectic yet fantastical and very comfy bunch we were!

The pyjama clad children delighted in a day of stories, from listening to Mr Campbell reading in the Teepee at Forest School, being read stories outside in the warm Spring sunshine in the Quad, to sharing books in our reading den in the classroom, having the story of Jonty Gentoo (the penguin) read to us by none other than Jonty Gentoo (the penguin!), exploring new adventures at lunch, and pouring over countless picture books with all our friends! What a stupendous show of support by Pre-School, championing the fun of reading in every way possible!

They really are true professional book worms and pyjama wearers and can now add these to their ever growing CVs!
