The U11C team had a fantastic afternoon at the Laxton U11 Netball Festival. All of the girls really rose to the challenge of playing in a variety of positions across the court, supporting each other and working beautifully as a team. With it being a festival, there was no ‘winner’; but our U11C team conceded just 1 goal all afternoon, scored 5 goals in both the first and second match, 4 in the third and 3 in the final match. A little work to be done on passing ahead of the player, not panicking, and maintaining work rate even into the later matches, but what a superb effort – of which all of the girls can be very proud.

The A-team worked hard as a team and embraced new positions of 5-aside well. They adjusted to space as the games went on and demonstrated some excellent shooting, interceptions and centre passes. We will continue to work on adapting our play against taller players as we continue the season.
