Off we went for another wintery walk this week around the grounds! We spotted moss on the trees and make rubbings of the bark and looked for habitats for our native animals. We found many burrows and spotted old nests in the dormant trees. We learnt about hibernation and that some animals go into ‘lethargy’. We thought about how animals keep themselves safe and warm.
Our art session launched us into outer space! We made our own galaxy backgrounds using chalk, then drew detailed rockets with water coloured jets . Our work was out out of this world!
There was a little birthday celebration for Mrs Donaldson this week – it all began with a fabulous class assembly on fame where the children showcased their portraits and riddles with the rest of the school.
Then children purchased a wrapped present using the exact amount of money to take to the maths money party. Then the unwrapping of presents happened along with the money maths party games!
