What a wonderful display of netball from start to finish! It was lovely to watch the play across the court and see the different skills we have worked on across the term. House Captains worked so hard to ensure everyone had fair match time and play in various positions.
It was fast paced, Mrs Hesford and I felt we were doing shuttle runs whilst umpiring! There was an abundance of talent on show and mixed with a wonderful spoon of house camaraderie and a pinch of sunshine it made for a superb afternoon.
The matches were close and it came down to a final game between Milton and Burghley. End to end with a goals each way meant it was all to play for in the final minutes. Burghley snuck ahead and held their lead and finished 12-10 winners.
Well done Burghley! I must mention Lindsey as they had a lot more players than other teams and had to lend to Casewick even when playing against them. A really wonderful demonstration of Copthill ‘Team Players’.
