It has been an exciting return to school over the last two weeks for our Pre School children as they have begun to embark on our new topic ‘Animal Crackers’. Learning about nature and animals can help broaden children’s knowledge about the natural world and is a great way of helping to develop their early childhood education. Last week we focused on the story ‘Owl Babies’ as we discovered all about nocturnal animals and other animals we might find in local woodlands. This week, we have travelled further afield and have been learning all about animals we might come across on Safari. The children have enjoyed making collages of African animals and exploring beloved stories such as ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’.
