After learning all about how polar bears have adapted to living in the harsh conditions of the Arctic, Year 1 set about creating their Arctic polar bear scenes. They thought about the midnight sun in summer and the polar night in winter and how these seasonal changes affect the inhabitants in the north of the countries in the Arctic circle.
Some chose to create icebergs to add an interesting feature to their work. All were keen to add the magical sprinkle of glitter to create a dazzling effect. Polar bears were then carefully cut out to add the finishing touch to their work.
